Looking for an opportunity to continue your Wrangler camp experience with new leadership development opportunities? The Wrangler-In-Training program is here for you! This two-week program provides teen campers with a chance to expand their knowledge of horse care and riding while supporting the Wrangler staff and riding program at Camp Carson.

Our Wranglers in Training will learn essential leadership skills and techniques in the barn, on the trail, and with fellow campers.  WITs learn more about caring for and encouraging the campers in the fun, positive, and challenging Wrangler environment. Additionally, they will connect with CITs and go on a weekend camping trip to Lincoln State Park.

​

Their schedule is split between the Wranglers and Counselors in Training (CIT). They spend the morning at the barn learning how to be a wrangler counselor, as well as advancing their horse management and horse riding skills.  Their afternoons involve teen programming.
